Book Review: Christmas at Timberwoods

Christmas At Timberwoods by Fern Michaels

3 of 5 stars false

Starting off, this seems like a light-hearted Christmas romance. However, quickly, several characters enter the scene, including a maybe-bipolar physic who is "seeing" explosions and fire at the new mall. Enter a seriously depressed Santa, several police & security guards, and a mall CEO who refuses to shut down the mall for any reason - the Christmas profits are too much! Lots of stress, drama, and self-doubt. Surprisingly, the characters who we think will be our main romantic due never get very developed, as we focus more on the physic and her depressed friend. Angels, miracles, loneliness, and Christmas - this book keys into several major themes that appear during the holiday season.
